[Resolved] GCAFF5T - Checker for 5/5 caches of different types in different countries
October 18, 2023 02:35PM
Hi,
I am planning to publish a challenge that requires the cacher to find four different types of caches with D/T rating of 5/5, of which:
- a 5/5 cache of one type was found at least once
- a 5/5 cache of a second type was found in at least two different countries
- a 5/5 cache of a third type was found in at least three different countries
- a 5/5 cache of a fourth type was found in at least four different countries

Example:
I found
- a 5/5 Multi in Germany
AND
- a 5/5 Letterbox in Germany and Denmark
AND
- a 5/5 Traditional in Germany, Austria and USA
AND
- a 5/5 Mystery in Germany, Sweden, Denmark and USA

Hence I qualify for this challenge.

Please let me know if there are any questions.

Many thanks in advance
Daniel aka InQbuS

Hi there -

Here's the checker:

Let us know if it works for you.

Yes this is great, thanks.

The return message if the player doesn't qualify is a bit misleading (as it doesn't tell all the missing types/caches) but the checker as such works fine! I assume it's not very straight forward to modify that return message, is it?

Thanks again for your great support

It's a little hard to wrap your head around the 'advice' it gives you... For me (I don't qualify), it says I have a Unknown, Traditional, and Multi-cache in Canada+USA, and that I need to add another country to one of those types to improve (of course, I actually need two countries in one of those types to actually qualify for the 4 countries). But, I think that makes sense?
