Breakdown of Yearly Caches by Size

This may be a bit off topic but I'm curious to know the number of micros, smalls, regulars... etc that I have found in 2012, 2013, 2014 ...etc.

One idea that I have to get this breakdown of stats would be to tag one of the challenge scripts and set the parameters. Then I would run the script and receive the information. My question is, would this be do-able and which script would I use for such a task?
