Thanks again for doing this checker a year ago. https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GC91D9H/57016 A challenge where you must find 55 caches of T rating 3.5 or higher in the central coast (NSW, Australia) LGA. That is, a total of 55 caches found of either T=3.5, T=4, T=4.5, or T=5 in the Gosford LGA. Usual fine print: * Caches must have been active at time of find * The posted coordinatesby team novo - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
I was wondering if someone could please confirm for me that the checker uses the posted coords for multis/ mysteries/ whereigos etc, or does it use the FINAL coords to determine whether it is located in the LGA or not? It doesn't matter to me which it is but, whichever it is, I think I should mention it on the cache page. So I just wanted to be sure, hence my post. Thanks. novoby team novo - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
..oh ok yeah I just pulled up a bunch randomly and now I see what you mean. When GS locked them they should have date stamped it oh well. Checker works ok BTW, thanks: "Find 5 caches each placed in unique months of the year 2000." Are checkers not able to verify whether people have logged archived caches?by team novo - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
...so to be clear that third bullet point should read strictly NO logging of archived caches. Sorry for confusionby team novo - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Hi GreyHams. It's hide date not found date. Also, what I mean Re archived caches is that people can't have have found a cache once it was archived ie they had to find the cache WHILST it was active. If a qualifying cache they found is now archived, that is perfectly legit. I only make a point of this because plenty of finders sadly have successfully (and wrongfully) logged caches hidby team novo - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Dear checkers legends. I have one more for my challenge quintet. This one is pretty straight forward - a Jasmer challenge of sorts: The Y2K Stash Challenge. Here is the criteria: Finders to have found at least 5x active caches hidden/ placed in separate months of the year 2000. That is, qualifying caches can only be ones hidden/ placed in any five of the eight months May-December 2000) Twby team novo - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Thanks legends! Seems to all work as requested, cheers! novoby team novo - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Hi there, checker legends.. Request a checker for GC91D9K; The "extreme traveller challenge"; five 5/5s in five unique countries Here are the rules for qualification: Loggers must have found at leave five caches with the D/T rating of 5/5 Each qualifying cache must be located in a different (unique) country. At least two qualifying caches must be of Traditional type Caches muby team novo - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Thank you that's great! Can close this one off now too. That's three down two to go :D novoby team novo - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Thanks, vogelbird. Do you have the means to provide a map in the script out of what the county "Central Coast (C) (NSW)(1)" is exactly? Just so that I can include that on the cache page so that prospective finders know where they need to concentrate their challenge? Thank you! novoby team novo - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Another checker enquiry. I'm not sure how easy this one is or possible this is to do. We want to set up a challenge where you must find 55 caches of T rating 3.5 or higher in the Gosford (NSW, Australia) LGA. That is, a total of 55 caches found of either T=3.5, T=4, T=4.5, or T=5 in the Gosford LGA. Thankyou that's brilliant. novoby team novo - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Hi again checkers folk! The next challenge we would like a checker for is just a classic 5 (five) loops of the D/T grid challenge please. GC91D9G Requirements: • Must complete five (5) complete loops of the D/T grid. • All qualifying caches MUST be/ had been active at the time of the find. Ie the cache can't have been archived when it was found. I'm going to ask people tby team novo - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
I see this is still active. As I said previously, I am going to abandon this (average D + average T = 5 or greater challenge) checker request based on your responses above, and go and think of something else. Thanks anyway for your efforts, vogelbird. I will start another post once I come up with something. novoby team novo - ARCHIVE Checker requests (impossible)
Oh boy. Sadly, I'm going to bow out and go back to the drawing board. Thanks for your efforts, vogelbird. novoby team novo - ARCHIVE Checker requests (impossible)
vogelbird, that said (in the immediate previous post), I actually really like your suggestion to set the challenge over a set number of caches rather than the total finds as it will indeed keep a lot of experienced cachers happy. Yes we have a very high D/T average but setting up my dee + tee = 5 challenge was not meant to be about showing that off. I think it will certainly be good to have moreby team novo - ARCHIVE Checker requests (impossible)
Just a side note for anyone reading this post. Firstly, I genuinely did not think there would be a problem putting in for this kind of challenge. I have done my homework. A number of similar ones exist, as well as the one I posted a link for (same as the one ZQX linked to). I was especially confident that I would be okay since the example I gave (which has been approved by the board of Australby team novo - ARCHIVE Checker requests (impossible)
Actually I don't think that interpretation of the standard is correct. That clause is talking about percentages as in a percentage of caches or cache types in a specific area of, say, earth caches in France. It also isn't "not finding caches" or "limits or punishes any element of finding caches" any more than a challenge which requires you to find caches with theby team novo - ARCHIVE Checker requests (impossible)
Hi again, checker writing wizards.. Request a checker for GC91D9H “The Dee + Tee = Five Challenge”; The Average Difficulty rating PLUS the Average Terrain rating, which is located on each geocacher’s statistics page, must equal FIVE (5) or more. You also must have a minimum of 555 finds. For example, we (team novo) are currently over 1200 finds, our Average Difficulty is 2.67 and ouby team novo - ARCHIVE Checker requests (impossible)
No I think the formatting of 56676 is better, even though it has more info in it. Let's leave it as 56676 then. I am new to challenge caches so I wasn't aware of how easy (hard) it is to modify script. Thanks for this! I think we are done! All good? novoby team novo - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
I see. Thanks anyway! One more request. I think the script out looks a bit busy. If you could please remove the COUNTY and the PLACED DATE from the script out that would be fantastic. Thanks again! novoby team novo - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
The script out looks fantastic, thank you! BUT, I tested it and the first one in my list, Reid's Mistake (GCJ5DT) was found by us long after the cache was archived. Could you please ensure the checker filters ANY finds that were made of webcam caches that were archived at the time of finding. Thank you! Novoby team novo - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Dear checker creating legends.. Request a checker for GC91D9F “The Trojan Room Coffee Pot Challenge” (working title) 5x webcam cache finds in 5 different countries Requirements: • Find five (5) webcam caches, each in five unique countries. For example; one in the UK, one in Spain, one in Germany, one in the USA, one in China (total of five in five different countries) • All qualifyingby team novo - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
