Dankjewel Vogelbird. That makes total sense. Back to the drawing board. Let's archive this request. Thanks very much for your effort!by Elmeraculous - ARCHIVE Checker requests (impossible)
Hi Vogelbird, Thanks for your quick reply. Your argument totally makes sense, but I'm kind of surprised that the Reviewer in question did not mention this himself. This still leaves me kinda in doubt whether or not this is possible/allowed. Furthermore, I found another checker that does seem to check the home coordinates; but only when that user is logged in to project-gc.com: https:/by Elmeraculous - ARCHIVE Checker requests (impossible)
Hi all, I have an idea to create a challenge for which geocachers need to have found at least 10 caches. Each respective cache is located 0-10km, 10-20km, 20-30km, etc from their home location ánd need to contain a certain attribute. At first I had 'home location' replaced by 'the center of Amsterdam' but that is not allowed according to the Reviewers. When I proposed to chby Elmeraculous - ARCHIVE Checker requests (impossible)
Hi vogelbird, Thanks for the lightning fast reply. This is a major bummer. I'll look for other criteria. Shall we close this request or leave it open for when another idea pops my mind?by Elmeraculous - ARCHIVE Checker requests (impossible)
Hi everyone, New request, comparable to https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GC2A00B/11328 (belonging to https://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC2A00B_the-nascar-challenge-cache). To log this cache, you need to have found a geocache (geo-events included) with each of the Formula 1 Championship car numbers (since 2014) in the cache ID code. This car number list can be found on https://en.wikipedia.oby Elmeraculous - ARCHIVE Checker requests (impossible)
Unfortunately the Reviewers have not allowed this idea. The response was "Basing challenges on letters or words is not allowed. Therefore, the idea cannot be approved in this way." So this thread can be archived, not sure whether I can do this myself or not. Anyway, thank you so much for your time and effort!by Elmeraculous - ARCHIVE Checker requests (impossible)
Hi! Not yet, but apparently that was my bad. As the cache itself is not ready yet I only posted a reviewer note and did not click the Submit for review button. Apparently that was a mistake. I have done so now so hoping to hear back from them soon. Sorry to keep you waiting.by Elmeraculous - ARCHIVE Checker requests (impossible)
Ah, right. Thanks! Will check with my reviewers.by Elmeraculous - ARCHIVE Checker requests (impossible)
Ah, got it, thank you. But the example you provided is also an alpha Challenge based on attributes, right? Where should I look for the difference with what I intend to do? Forgive me if I'm missing the obvious.by Elmeraculous - ARCHIVE Checker requests (impossible)
Hi vogelbird, thanks for your response. You'll have to forgive me but can you tell me what alpha Challenges are? Bit of a noob here on the Challenge subject. Your example looks great though, so I'm curious where the potential disappointment comes in..by Elmeraculous - ARCHIVE Checker requests (impossible)
This looks awesome! Thanks so much for your time so far. Yes, there are still some facets we need to cover, but I'll get back to that. But before I ask more of your time, let me go ahead and check with my local reviewers what they think of the idea. Also Re: the comment by vogelbird. Cheers again!by Elmeraculous - ARCHIVE Checker requests (impossible)
Hi! No, not yet, but your reply has given me enough hope that this can be achieved, so will do so immediately tomorrow..by Elmeraculous - ARCHIVE Checker requests (impossible)
Hi Everyone, New to the Challenge field, so hoping I'm doing this right. I have the idea to create a Challenge where cachers would need to spell the word AMSTERDAM by finding geocaches that have certain attributes. The attributes that need to be collected are the attributes of which the first letter can found in the word AMSTRDAM. So, amongst others: 'Available 24/7', 'Mby Elmeraculous - ARCHIVE Checker requests (impossible)
