No worries, we will call it good to go since for all the likeliest finding suspects the script ran smoothly. The cache will require a minimum 29 km round trip hike and 1200m elevation gain as it is for a 5/5 challenge, so many cachers may not attempt due to the Terrain rating.by Cats4us - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
I tested the checker on few dozen geocachers (qualified and not) and it seems to work great 96% of the time. The two geocachers where the script timed out were GeoMals and scrabblebird. They both don’t have that many finds (<1000 and just over 2000 respectively). Both these accounts work with the GC9J32D checker and have only 7 and 8 of the 9 types required, respectively, and so fail to meet tby Cats4us - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)

I tested the result for GC9J32D and wow, what an improvement!! It cranked through mondou2 in 6.0 seconds and Alamogul in 5.8 seconds and those are the top 2 (numbers) cachers in USA by a good margin. I also tested on a few other cachers that are qualified (and not) including one I specifically recall having issues with the past checker and it worked correctly and efficiently in all cases. A few (not many) have told me the existing 20th Anniversary script times out for them, but they have been cachers with high numbers of total finds (approaching 100k or more). I would give them a pass based on their total numbers, as they are almost certainly qualified. Can you make a more efficient custom script than the existing one?by Cats4us - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
I still need the Challenge Checker whether #4 and #5 are valid; this language was copied verbatim from an approved Challenge in 2021, so reviewers obviously have no issue with it.by Cats4us - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Hi- I require a checker for my new Challenge cache GCAPANM, 25 Years of Geocaching Challenge (note this isn't an "Anniversary" because there are now 25 years inclusive 2000-2024 and the 25th anniversary is next year in 2025) It should be similar to my 20 Year Anniversary of Geocaching Challenge GC9J32D with a couple of changes. https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GC9J32D/645by Cats4us - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Hi, I would like a checker for my new Challenge, GCAD0AV, which requires 100 or more caches with 200 or more FP, including at least 6 different icon types amongst the 100. It would be similar to the checker for GCACZ6G, except 200 FP rather than 100 FP, and the 6 icon types required. Thanks in advance!by Cats4us - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Testing went well, all is good. You may close this request. Thanks!by Cats4us - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)

Hi, can you please create a Challenge Checker to determine if cacher has greater than or equal to 100 caches with 100 or more FP? Like the following checker, but with more FP: https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GCACTFP/80199 Thanks!by Cats4us - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
This is working well! OK to close request, Thanks again.by Cats4us - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Thanks Hügh. I have revised the Challenge so it is now to find 100+ caches with at least 10 FP. This is compliant with the Current Challenge Cache Guidelines. 11. Specific Lists: A challenge based on caches with at least X number of Favorite Points can be published, as the information comes from Geocaching.com. I don't have an exemplar checker to cite that I am familiar with. Tby Cats4us - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Hi, I need a checker for my 100 finds challenge GCACTFP (find 100 caches from one hider/owner). This should be similar to the checker for GC34PQR. Thanks!by Cats4us - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
That's a poor criteria. It's a Challenge. High # finders can simply find a few more selected caches to loop the number of times required. Not all cachers can qualify for all Challenges; if we continue to lower the bar like this we might as well do away with Challenges entirely.by Cats4us - ARCHIVE Checker requests (impossible)
I don’t think it limits or punishes finds. It certainly doesn’t require a certain type of cache or a streak of certain types of caches. I think it is positive in that it promotes filling the DT grid more times, and what could be wrong with that? I guess it’s time to seek a reviewer’s opinion..by Cats4us - ARCHIVE Checker requests (impossible)
Hi - I need a checker for my new Challenge Cache, GCA99JQ, "The Lisa Loopner Challenge". To qualify, one must have a "Loopner Number" >/= 1. The "Loopner Number" is calculated as: Loopner Number = [# DT Grid Loops You Have (lowest # in your grid) ] * 1000 / (excluding lab caches). Round number down to nearest integer. ≥1 means qualified for Challengby Cats4us - ARCHIVE Checker requests (impossible)

Hi, I’m wondering if a checker can be made for GC2JWTY (The Well Travelled Cacher (bthomas) Challenge). This 2010 Challenge cache requires 100 caches to be found in 5 mile distance bands, 0-4.99miles, 5-9.99 miles…495-499.99 miles, from a cachers home coordinates. Supposedly there is a GSAK macro to verify, but as a Mac user that’s not an option for me. I looked for another cache checker that canby Cats4us - ARCHIVE Checker requests (impossible)

Hi, I'd like to request a checker for my 4x100 challenge cache (GC9VX8D) similar to my 3x100 challenge (GC9HYTA), except requiring 4 different types of 100 caches each minimum. I also need a similar checker for 5 types of caches for my 5x100 challenge cache GC9VX8P and 6 types of caches for my 6x100 challenge cache GC9VX8T. Hi, my 20th Anniversary Challenge Checker seems to be working fine (thanks jpavlik), except that the counters for success/failure (and presumably the derived difficulty rating) are not accumulating any results. Some early test/development versions did have active counters before the final version, so it looks like this feature might just be temporarily inhibited or commented out. Good to go! Submitting to reviewer to publish now. Thanks again for your help.by Cats4us - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Hi jpavlik- I tried it, but the link says the checker is disabled: https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GC9J32D/64513 Has the link changed or do you need to re-enable it? Cats4usby Cats4us - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Hi jpavlik- Yes, if you could make the years 2000 to 2010 required so the hole is in the second half that would be fair. Thank you for your suggestion! Cats4usby Cats4us - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Hi again jpavlik - OK, we should then leave it as is. We don't want to make it a dynamic condition; that will not work with the reviewer. I will submit the cache and checker as is and I expect to get it approved since we worked out the conditions with the reviewer in advance. Thanks for your effort on this checker! If you celebrate the US Thanksgiving holiday (or not), best wishes tby Cats4us - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Hi jpavlik - It is still dropping some random years in the middle because of the 21 cache requirement over 22 years. Example: kittyshrink has 2000-2007 and 2009-2021 caches listed as qualifiers (along with many finds in year 2008 that qualify but are not required by the checker presently). Kittyshrink is more than qualified, but I wanted continuous years of caches found without a random year bby Cats4us - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Hi jpavlik - This is close to working, but I want to include the requirement for a cache from the first caching year 2000. It presently is allowing cachers who otherwise meet the requirements to qualify with caches from 2001-2021 (e.g. the cacher: Time_for_a_break). The criteria are: 1) You must find 21 geocaches; one geocache that was hidden in each year of geocaching from 2000-2020by Cats4us - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
