Sorry, I didn't realize this was for an existing challenge. It led me down a wonderful rabbit hole of the sequence of GC codes, which I always wondered about. Anyhow, I'll write a checker for it soon, assuming nobody beats me to it.by bmuzzin - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
I doubt such a checker exists, but regardless, it's against the guidelines. As you said, script writers need to tweak continent definitions depending on what the challenge requester decides is in the continent or not, as there isn't a "formal" definition. That said, I thought it was "universally" agreed upon that there are 7 continents. Adding in an 8th continent will likely result in the newly hooked up method never being used, because that won&by bmuzzin - Checker news
I have retagged the challenge here - https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GCA7G4E/77077 Tested the two users mentioned, and they both pass now. @vogelbird - Turns out that the 'limit' and 'num' parameters were reversed in your tag - so it was trying to get you to find 12 of the oldest caches, but only retrieving 6 of them from the database (plus a bunch of archived ones).by bmuzzin - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
We can't make a "dynamic" Jasmer checker, such as you suggest, because we cannot access all the caches that exist. Generally in a checker script, we only can access the caches that the running user has found. The only real alternative would be to update the checker whenever a cache gets archived, and a month is no longer possible. There exists a script currently that could be taggeby bmuzzin - ARCHIVE Checker requests (impossible)
Correct - we cannot access the user's home coordinates, so we can't know which state they live in. The best we can do is know the region with their most finds (which might not be a US state at all, if they live in a country other than the US). If you contact the CO, and verify that they are okay with this estimation in the checker, then we can make one.by bmuzzin - ARCHIVE Checker requests (impossible)
When the fizzy grid has a criteria, it tries to come up with something to describe it... and usually it just uses the first letter of the value (unless it's a cache type, and then it has an override to use the icon). So, N=Nebraska, and T/T=true, because it runs a function it runs as a first pass to check for D<=4, and T<=3.5. For a fizzy that has multiple satisfying criteria (eg.by bmuzzin - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
I attempted! https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GC1VNJN/76871 This is like a stress-test for my generic multi-fizzy checker script, so it was a good one to test out. From what I can tell from the cache page, the "mini blackout" is a superset of the "half fizzy" requirement (eg. if you have all D4 & T3.5 and below, that's 42 spaces, and then you have a half fizzyby bmuzzin - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
I've recently submitted a challenge cache, which required users to have finds on caches with a certain number of finds (in my case 10 caches with 10k or more finds). This is a script I wrote, presumably no similar challenges exist. My reviewer, after consulting with other reviewers said it was not publishable, because of "Rule #4. Source of Criteria", specifically, because it (appaby bmuzzin - Miscellaneous

I've written a one-off script for this challenge, as, it's not acceptable as a new challenge and thus the script is unlikely to be reused. https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GC55BXK/76726 It verifies the last 10 loggers, and I've also verified it fails someone who does not qualify. https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GC5DEHD/76535 It would be kind of a nightmare to put this into parameters for an existing script, so I wrote a one-off, since it's a grandfathered challenge anyhow. Script says the last 10 loggers qualify, and mortal (like you and me) don't. Many people's logs don't match the checkers output, which will find the longest and first streak...by bmuzzin - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
When you're calling 'GetFinds', you need to include 'attributes_unset' in the fields (along with 'attributes_set'). https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GCA628D/76210 I'm not sure what the 'elevation' function did in the multi-test checker script, but... it seemed wrong to me. Some of the guidelines are very clear, and the reason behind them is quite obvious and sensible. But, there is way too much room for interpretation in challenge guidelines. It would be quite easy to them to compile a list of what is acceptable, and what isn't. For example, I've heard that challenges requiring a "not-chosen" size are not acceptable anymore (perhaps reasonablby bmuzzin - Miscellaneous
I might be missing something, but I'm not sure how this turns into a bigraph problem? There are N sets (eg. potentially 67 of them if you want to qualify).by bmuzzin - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Interesting problem... I don't see a way with a current script either. I've been using my A* search in quite few of my scripts recently, and I think that it or something similar will be required here, as the search space is potentially huge. Without an optimized search, you'd definitely timeout for some users with a brute force search. Ie. if somebody had 66 attributes in 67 coby bmuzzin - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Out of curiosity, I look at events of various ages, and it seems that they've have different methods of advertising the times for the events in the past. It's only really events 2019 and older where times are added automatically to the description. For a period, the event time was part of the cache's metadata, and other than that, you were just relying completely on the owner to teby bmuzzin - ARCHIVE Checker requests (impossible)
