Hi This checker https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GC8CQC9/44830 is currently used for a travel to five countries challenge. The cache page indicates the intent is physical challenge and advises that liar caches, known armchair logs, and international cooperation caches (with a remote log) should not be included. Is there any way of modifying the challenge to add some of these limits?by Brad&Janet - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Thanks again Pieterix. All good. Cache submitted. Cheers Bby Brad&Janet - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Hi Pieterix. My other idea will take a while to come to fruition if at all. If it does I will do a new cache for it. So can you go ahead with this one please? The 300 variant of https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GC7HMG3/38917 and attached to GC8CQC1 Thanks very much Bby Brad&Janet - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Interesting. As it appears that only very old caches also with old archiving cause this problem it seems likely that few of these would have been around long enough to truly have finders fulfill unloved criteria (but not impossible) so excluding those where there is a mismatch of archive data would seem the most accurate approach? Would this mean that the non-excluded caches to be correctly parsby Brad&Janet - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Thanks Pattux, I wonder, is there any way of telling that a cache is locked? A lot of very old ones missing the archive log seem to be locked. That may be helpful? And also inactive/archived other than by a log? Is there an accessible status flag? The output shows these with a (A) next to the GC code. I know I am trying to problem solve (see our profile for a clue about why that might be ;))butby Brad&Janet - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Hi I am quite interested in this line. I have tested the checkers on GC83AWR and GC7QA7W and they do not match the guidelines as listed by Vogel bord above. In particular they do not deal with archievd caches correctly. For example GC486A was hidden on 1 April 2002 and archived on 24 Feb 2004. No finds. Hurlte logged a find on 18 Jan 2014. The checkers give him over 6000 days of unlove.by Brad&Janet - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Please put this request on hold for a little while as I wish to try something else. Thanks Bby Brad&Janet - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Hi I had cloned a checker for GC8CQC1 from https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GC8050T/38236 However our reviewer has knocked it back as he says that GCHQ "are currently not permitting publication of contiguous county challenges." I have removed the tag from my clone (44842). However as this GC code is one of a series of 30 due top be published together I need to replace it withby Brad&Janet - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Thanks PattuX. Is arisoft still around and active modifying checkers? I could allow manual logs for owners even if the checker says no, but I think that might be questionable as far as I understand the requirements. The current checker output listing showing the top caches with favourite points is excellent so I would not want to lose that. Failing arisoft being available it sounds like I wby Brad&Janet - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Hi again Pieterix Re: https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GC8CQDD/44822 This challenge requires finding 10 of the top 15 FP caches in any Australian State or Territory. The output is excellent. However I was running some people through it and I noted that it does not deal with caches hidden by the person running the query. It assumes they have not found those caches. Cheers Pieterix. PattuX, the checker is all good thanks very much. Bby Brad&Janet - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Thanks all. Thanks Pieterix in particular. Sorry to be mucking you around. I realised two of my ideas were probably too similar for the same geographical series of checkers. I do already have a published earlier versIon of the one which you removed. I will try to reuse the new 300 previously created checked elsewhere. Thanks again Bby Brad&Janet - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Hi I have a Challenge series of 30 in development. I have previously attached a different checker to GC8CQDY but would like to change that challenge please. I would like to use a slight modification of a recently developed checker 44961 which looks at DT grid totals for each Australian State and Territory and then sums them. 44961 is set to trigger at 320 total. Having checked potential localby Brad&Janet - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Excellent as usual pieterix. Thanks again Cheers Bby Brad&Janet - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Hi For GC8CQCX I would like a checker which searches for caches with an altitude listed as below sea level. I want the checker output to list all (or the first say 20 odd) finds below sea level but the cutoff for success would only be 2 finds. I would like it to EXCLUDE locationless caches as some of these give extreme and strange results. I cloned a tag in an attmept to do this myself buby Brad&Janet - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)

Hi again Pieterix. Oops my bad. I did not look closely enough at this one. I did want a full Jasmer check not just 2000-2001. Sorry I missed that. I would like the wildcards to be anywhere in the grid. I know this is a bit different to what I initially asked for but this better fits with the challenge I have written and had intended. Is that possible? Do I need to lodge a new request? thby Brad&Janet - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Nice one Max. Looking for a few more ideas too ;) Cheers Brad/Billby Brad&Janet - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Thanks again Pieterix. All good once again :) Cheers Bby Brad&Janet - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Oops. Multitask failure again! GC8CQD3 :)by Brad&Janet - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Hi again, This one is a variant of https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GC7N86E/34360 That one seeks 100 finds of caches with attributes dogs, livestock, ticks, snakes, horses It does exclude all event types Can I please get a variant checker which uses 25 of each instead of 100 please? Event types can be excluded too please. Thanks Brad / Billby Brad&Janet - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Thanks very much. All good now cheers Bby Brad&Janet - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Thanks PattuX, Nice checker. Having run a few locals through I think 500 was a bit low for what I wanted. Can it please be upped to 1000 finds? Thanks again Brad / Billby Brad&Janet - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Hi again I would like a checker for 500 finds with D and or T greater than or equal to 3 please. I suspect there is one already but I cant seem to find it. No other limits. GC8CQCT Thanks again Bby Brad&Janet - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
All good again. Thanks very much. Cheers Bby Brad&Janet - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Thanks. All good now. :) Bby Brad&Janet - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Hi This is a checker for a challenge we already have published for 250 D T cache type combinations https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GC7HMG3/38917 Can we please get a modified version for 300 total instead of 250 for a new challenge GC8CQDY. Thanks Brad/Billby Brad&Janet - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Thanks, that is great. Now that I have run 50 or so locals through it there are enough with 8 to do that but sadly not enough with 9. So can the 7 be changed to an 8 to qualify please? Then it should be all good. Thanks bby Brad&Janet - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
I think it will likely end up as 8 or even 9 types but need to run it first.by Brad&Janet - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
