Freemium membership or Freemium user on Project-GC refers to a user that has a premium membership at Geocaching.com and is authenticated at Project-GC but does not have an active paid membership at Project-GC.

Freemium normally refers to a pricing strategy where parts of a game or software is free and parts of it costs money.
