[Resolved] GCA2EE2 - 75 German Landkreise - 3 caches per Landkreis

Hi there,

I hope I haven't miscounted but I should fulfil the challenge for which I'd love to have a challenge checker.

I would like my cache's visitors to have found at least 3 caches in each of at least 75 German Landkreisen.

I'd appreciate your help! :)

You can use:

Unfortunately Project-GC breaks doesn't match the German landkreisen boundaries exactly, and so you currently have 3 finds in only 60 German "counties".

Why doesn't that work as intended? ProjectGC knows which of our 400 counties I have already visited and counts the caches. Why then does it not match the boundaries in a checker? Weird.

What is reported by ProfileStats should match the output of the checker, since it is using the same data. If there is a disagreement between ProfileStats and the checker please let me know and I can communicate with admins. But by my eye it seems to match.

I went through and counted a little more carefully and got 60 as the checker reports.

For example in Brandenburg you have found caches in all 18 "counties" but only 14 have at least three:



Similarly in Niedersachsen you have found caches in 15 counties but only 12 have at least three finds.

Also worth adding. When I said:

That was a slight misunderstanding on my part. Germany is broken into 294 landkreise and 106 urban districts ("kreisfreien Städten", I believe) which together make the 400 "counties" of Germany that Project-GC recognizes. So in fact Project-GC's counties should match the expected (legal) boundaries.

Hi there, Hügh. Back at home. Have been busy caching in new counties. Hope you're doing fine.

Would it be possible to list all of the counties found, I mean the "surplus"?

I'll try to make clear what I mean:

Dus Sud has found required number of caches (3) in each of 78 Counties (required number of Counties: 75).
Finds in required Counties are listed here:

2
3
...
75 (last one required)
76
77
78

After being very busy I think we could add some more counties to this challenge. 80 would be great. Haven't finished logging yet.

Yes, it looks like you have 81. I have updated the checker to require 80. Unfortunately it looks like the output is truncated to 80, so I am not sure if it is possible to have it give the full list.

Hmm, that's weird. If you look at the following outputs (two examples):

1) fyrsel: 102 counties (she has only 56)

2) Ampeline: 75 counties (she has only 51)

Does ProjectGC show

a) for those who haven't reached the required number yet all of their counties visited so far?

and

b) for those who have reached the required number only 80 and not all of their counties visited so far?

If you do not have enough counties, it shows you all counties with at least one find. The number in parentheses is the number of finds in that county. For example, for fyrsel,

Why then isn't it possible to show more than the 80 counties required in (for example) my case? As the Output can show more than the 80 counties required (see fyrsel), why can't it show the others with less than 3 finds? I have 98 in my list from which 80 are complete. The others would have (2) or (1) but aren't shown. Why?

Hi Hügh,

not yet published the cache, we're a bit slow :)

I've just seen that it is possible to add a map, at least in some cases? Like this one here:

That's something I'd find awesome. Would this be possible for my challenge, too?

I've already done more than 85 Landkreise, so if you add the map, could you please change the required number from 80 to 85?
