Re: New Checker GCAFR0B - 200 of 400 oldest in Austin MSA

same requirements as GCAFQ7B (100 of 200 oldest in Texas), with 2 changes.
1. The caches must in this Austin MSA (counties: Travis, Williamson, Hays, Bastrop, and Caldwell)
2. the requirement is 200 finds of the oldest 400 ACTIVE caches, but also counting archived caches that were found and have a hidden date on or before the 400'th oldest in the 5 counties.

Reviewer told me the checker fails on his play name "Team Troglodyte". Ditto for the checker for GCAFQ7B.

Tried a couple more users, also fails for "The Outlaw"

UPDATE:
I think I have found the cause of the problem. The Checker is also picking up caches hidden by the user on those old dates, and then it dies when it can't find the "Found it" log for that user, which doesn't exist. for example, Team Troglodyte -> https://coord.info/GC3D1A, Moosiegirl -> https://coord.info/GC685F, The Outlaw -> https://coord.info/GC2CE, threelanes -> https://coord.info/GCD33

is anyone from project-gc going to address this ? it's been a while since I posted about the issue.

Sorry, I have been busy with midterm exams.

I think your suggested fix is sufficient, so I will make the adjustment to this tag. But the script needs an update too so bmuzzin will have to be the one to do that.

EDIT: Hm, the fix I thought would work did not. This definitely requires support from bmuzzin.

need support from bmuzzin apparently. Is he seeing this request for a change to his script?

How do I get the attention of bmuzzin on this? I can see he's working on other checkers, but has curiously not responded at all for help with his script on this one.

I usually get email notification, but they seemed to not come through for this thread for some reason... so, sorry about that. I'll check it out, likely there's some weird field coming through on a find that's causing the exception.

Edit: issue should be fixed... there was a problem if they were an owner of one of the caches... I guess the script was never run with somebody that was an owner - usually these challenges are for a small number of the oldest, and, mostly those users are MIA, so that's probably why it wasn't caught before.

If you're expecting a change from me in the future, you can always message me on geocaching.com, and I'll definitely get that... I sometimes miss pgc thread notifications (although in this case, I wasn't subscribed to this thread because I didn't tag the challenge).

The script now fixed by bmuzzin now works as needed. Thanks bmuzzin and vogelbird too.
