Re: GC5NVVW - 100 Points of Lonely Caches Challenge

Hi, I need a checker for my new challenge cache which requires that you have found:

Caches with NO finds for at least 12 months previous of your log = 20 points.
Caches with NO finds for at least 9 months previous of your log = 15 points.
Caches with NO finds for at least 6 months previous of your log = 10 points.
Caches with NO finds for at least 3 months previous of your log = 5 points.

To complete this challenge you must collect 100 points worth of "Lonely" caches. You may find caches in any combination, as long as they total a minimum of 100 points.

Is this possible?

What a checker can not do
* The checkers does not have access to the user's home coordinates. Challenges are not allowed to be based upon them either, and haven't been allowed to for several years. This is a matter of integrity.
* The checkers does not have access to logs from others on the geocaches logged. Therefore a challenge to log a geocaches that hasn't been logged for one year isn't possible. We are however looking into solving this in the near future (June is expected). Details are yet to be determined.

It those not look that in the near future this challenge can be developed but there is now an alternative methode available

PGC Lonely Cache checker

Checker for lonely caches, using the Project-GC definition of ( age / finds )
Age is calculated from last_publish_date if available, otherwise hidden date
Age is calculated to last_archive_date if available, otherwise today

Parameters:
threshold: The threshold for a cache to count as lonely (default: 31)
limit: The number of caches to achieve the challenge (default: 1)

hmmm, ok, thanks, I don't understand 31, what is it?

31 is just the default setting but you can choose any number of days.

For example : 5 caches with a loneliness value of at least 90 days on average.
