Re: Challenge checker need for GC7FHDX - 20 countries

Hello

I need a challenge checker for cache GC7FHDX. The cacher must have logged geocaches in minimum of 20 countries. I meet this qualification.

My first idea was a challenge founds in 4 or more continents. But the reviewer answered:

Challenge cache criteria may be based upon these geographic areas: countries, states/provinces, counties (or their local equivalent).

So I have to switch to 20 countries.

Its worth noting you can do continents if you want for another challenge. You just need to explicitly specify your definition of which country is in which continent. I'd recommend that you use the list already in vogelbirds checker.

You can then specify you must have found a cache in one of the countries of n different continents which meets the cache requirements.

Groundspeak informed me that you can use this when you mention the countries in the config and on the cache page.based on how they are devided. However to use a multi script like "Multiple test Checker (by Target.) enhanced(by sumbloke) " with for each continent a search option ( "at_least" req subtest has to be true. req is from opt ex: "opt":{"req":2} two test has to be true) is simply too big and running out of config space.

the same problem as we have with the "timezone counter" which is based on countries, regions and counties.

Are you saying that groundspeak are saying the actual tag config must include the list of countries not just the cache page and the checker script?

This seems odd as there is no requirement for that to happen with any other type of checker - you can have a bespoke script with no tag level config at all.

It seems odd but 8 challenge caches are not approved although it is not consistent because it depends on the country and even reviewers.
When not approved it is based on two guideline items
