[Resolved] GCTVMK Minnesota Challenge: DeLorme Atlas 2006

Need a challenge checker for the 2006 publication of the Minnesota Delorme Map.

You have to crete a configuration for the map
I put an example configuration from another challenge below.
It is line like

that has to be created for each atlas page
the format is
"<polyname1>": {"rect":[minlat,maxlat,minlon,maxlon]},

There might be a complication what datum is used on the delorme maps? WGS84, NAD23, NAD83
I have no idea since they are not online.
If the coordinates for the corners are not in WGS84 they have to be converet to be correct

If I understand you correctly, I have to create the coordinate table for this checker to proceed to the next step. Do I understand correctly?
How carefully do the state lines along a river have to e created. Does the checker first filter by state and then Delorme map coordinates?

You understan correcty you have to create a coordiante table.
The checker has a state filter so the state border part can be ignored.

Have you looked at the datum of the maps?


The table can be creates in a spreadsheet only if is it a grid.

The coordinates are listed as North DD MM.MMM and West DD MM.MMM. I would assume they are in the WGS84 format to be useful to hikers. That is what the maps are intended.

How do you determine the lead series of numbers?

Does the order of the list matter? I would assume the most logical is map # order.

That the format is in Degrees and decimal minutes says nothing of the datum.
USGS maps for example uses NAD83
It is likely listed in the atlas with which projection is used to convert the globe to a flat map

"#5770" is just a label for the area. Use the page name on the atlas
The order in the polygon part is not relevant
validate as json at http://jsonlint.com/
And notice there is a , after each line except the last line in the polygons

Well here goes. Very difficult layout to detail. Quite a few hours in this one.

The json file is made and sent for uploading. I have assumed that the A & B pages have to merged and only 1 find is needed. This ties in with the 77 finds required.
