[Awaiting feedback] Need checker - GC7R609 - not published - need to find oldest active cache in 18 states

I need a checker for a new challenge cache that has not been published. The requirements are to find the oldest active cache in 18 states in the US.
Fun challenge! Here is your checker.

Hi, I also want to publish a similar challenge that's been placed and submitted but waiting for the required challenge checker . Mine is GC7R5C3 - 25 States' Oldest Cache Challenge (United States) (I have 27 states' oldest.)
So it is similar to this one in that will probably use the same script: Generic Oldest on N Regions (by sloth96). In the tag configuration, it did remove the "country" of Canada as I was going to request, but I would also like to Exclude the Region of "District of Columbia" as I would like it to truly be half of the 50 states with an "nrtop" of 25. Thanks, Steve. pcl_el_hefe
Here you go. Let me know if this works for you. https://project-gc.com/Challenges//35616

Thanks for your help. Checker works perfect and my cache has been published.
Congrats on the fun challenge! Now I just need to get up there and find it!

These checkers have not been configured correctly in that the relevant GC code was left out in both. Might need to redo them to include the GC code if editing doesn't have the desired effect.
GC7R609 looks fine. GC7R5C3 hasn't published yet.

DOLFINADO, the checker works exactly as requested and I have checked it against several cachers as tests. Unfortunately, the reviewer will not publish this challenge as I have been unable to find 10 local cachers who currently qualify to log it if published. Ironically, the other cacher who asked for 18 states' oldest checker was not required to provide 10 local cachers who already qualified and this person told me that it was doubted that 10 qualified cachers were in that local area. Just the luck of the draw for us in a rural area to have such a subjective reviewer. I'm keeping the cache submission application open, but it appears it won't be published unless we get a new reviewer. Sorry, but I had to have the checker before I could even submit the cache for publication.
No worries. I enjoyed setting it up. Sorry that they won't publish it. I don't understand that rule. My reviewer tells me the same thing. I think challenges should challenge you to accomplish something you haven't done yet.

WOW! You would have definitely qualified (and your number of states' oldest caches gives me a goal to try to reach.) If you come through WV sometime, you can get our oldest, "Rich Creek Riches" and you already qualify for my "Lower 48 plus DC" challenge (published by a different reviewer.) <HA> Yeah, we have three local caches traveling this summer to try to qualify for the "Lower 48" challenge and finding states' oldest (if I ever get that one published), so it does encourage people to accomplish something new. I do understand putting a halt to some of the ridiculous challenges, but removing the time limit makes long-term challenges achievable such as Jasmer, Fizzy, DeLorme, states' oldest, etc. Oh well. Thanks again. Regards, Steve
State oldest and Jasmer squares are my favorites. We were close to the West Virginia one on our drive to the Giga but just didn't have time. I'll be back!

I always thought that was the reason for challenge caches, to give other cachers a goal to strive for. I only have 3 people who have found my cache and one of them was from out of state. But, since I placed my cache, I know of at least 3 others who are now looking for a States oldest cache when they travel. Glad my reviewer didn’t follow that rule. Thanks again to both of you for your help and input. Be sure to check out my cache (GC7R609) if you ever get to Central PA. There are about 12 caches in the park so its worth a stop but it’s a hike to get them. Happy caching!

I assume that this request is finished and move this to ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed). Should the requester have any queries he can raise his question on this thread in the archived section
