[Resolved] GCAHJ7V Geo-Tourism Challenge checker request - 75 country/region souvenirs

Hello all,
I'm looking for some assistance please creating a challenge checker for 75 souvenirs awarded for for finding a cache in countries and regions only. The checker will count up souvenirs awarded from:
- 195 countries (assuming HQ has one souvenir for every country)
- 50 United States of America regions (states)
- 13 Canada regions
- 4 Ireland regions
- 16 Germany regions
- 8 Australia regions
This list is complete world-wide to the best of my knowledge, but the intent is to be totally inclusive if I have overlooked any.

The only problem you have is that "This user has 0 souvenirs. This is not entirely impossible, but if this is not the expected number the reason is probably that the user has changed a setting on https://www.geocaching.com/account/settings/userprivacy#about so that not everyone can see their souvenirs. This setting needs to be changed for checkers to work as expected."

Thanks for the checker. It seems to work fine for users that aren't hiding their profile stats regarding souvenirs.

However for the test case you identified regarding the privacy setting causing a zero result is confirmed to be a problem. I tried a test to then change the privacy setting and re-run the checker, but it seems project-gc.com only updates once a day, so the user might have to wait a day which is unfortunate. I will confirm this tomorrow when project-gc.com updates itself.
3/7 update: this checker has a bug in it and missed a number of countries and US states

In the meantime, just thinking of an alternate solution - perhaps we can accomplish the same goal by evaluating the user's cache finds looking for countries and regions instead of relying on the souvenirs?

BTW, I found a bug with the old checker if you're curious. But now that we've discarded it, maybe it doesn't matter. We can chat outside the public forum if you are interested on the details.
