[Resolved] GC55541 - A to Z, identical cache name pairs, different states

Hello All;

I'm a recent newbie paying member of Project-GC, and stumbled across this page. I signed GC55541 almost three years ago - it requires you to have found a pair of "A" caches, "B" caches, all the way through "Z" with identical names in different US States. I don't use GSAK, and have no interest in scrolling through almost 13,000 finds to see if I meet this.

How can I request that one of the developers write a checker for this?

I think this is going to take a new script. And it's probably going to be pretty low on most script-writers' priority lists, since such a challenge would no longer be allowed.

Note also that such a script will be very strict. The example given by the CO includes "Nightmare on Elm St..." and "Nightmare on Elm street" as a match and a script would be unlikely to match these two.

This seems fun to make (:P). I am working on it.

While testing I found that many players did not pass all alplhabets. K seems to be difficult.

You seem to have missed that the description says provinces and countries can be used. I'd be inclined to check with the CO about whether it could be made generic to regions.

That's right. I needlessly limited it to states of United States.

"must be from different states (or Provinces or countries)"

I have already contacted the CO about handling of digits but I will remove the country specific limit immediatelly.
