"Find 38 out of 38 caches" sounds like a "specific list" which is not permitted under the challenge cache guidelines. The most common fix is to require a reasonable percentage of the total available caches. You may want to check with your local reviewer as their definition of "reasonable percentage" might be different than mine.by The Leprechauns - ARCHIVE Checker requests (impossible)
Only a "single Jasmer" challenge cache can be published. Requiring a number greater than one for each Jasmer grid month is not permitted. Sorry! I'd rather communicate this news early, before too much scripting occurs.by The Leprechauns - ARCHIVE Checker requests (impossible)
The Washington State Park Challenge Cache that you're thinking of is indeed based upon a bookmark list maintained by the WSGA. But, that challenge cache was published in 2013 so it's grandfathered. You cannot publish a challenge cache under the 2016 rules that's dependent upon a bookmark list to define the eligible caches - regardless of who owns the bookmark list. You mightby The Leprechauns - ARCHIVE Checker requests (impossible)
I think you're confusing a "play anywhere" Wherigo cartridge cache with one of the grandfathered Locationless caches that were discontinued more than ten years ago. A locationless cache asks the finder to locate and post the coordinates for the defined item, like "find a covered bridge" or "find a natural arch." Wherigo and Locationless caches are two veryby The Leprechauns - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
This is a time-limited challenge that is not permitted under the 2016 challenge cache guidelines. Please see this Help Center article and especially item 9 in the chart, under "Not Acceptable:" QuoteTime-limited caching: as in some number of finds per day, week, month, or year. Example, Busy Day, 50 finds in a day, 500 finds in a month, etc.by The Leprechauns - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
(I'm a reviewer, so I can see your cache page.) To help the checker taggers, it can be any three cache types in the three states. It can be virtual, multi and unknown in State 1, wherigo, traditional and multi in state 2, and virtual, traditional and earthcache in state 3. "Any of the HQ current types" appears to include grandfathered/special caches that are still active (avby The Leprechauns - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Possibly, but such an "unchallenge" cannot have a Project-GC checker associated with it. (Well, it could, but your reviewer wouldn't publish it.)by The Leprechauns - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
(I'm a Reviewer, based in the USA.) As usual, Target's analysis is both correct and thorough. You should take his advice. It makes me sad that you'd rather roll the dice and hope for a lenient cache reviewer. You are testing the system to see if your reviewer makes a mistake. Once that mistake is exposed (when your cache is published), your challenge cache will be archivedby The Leprechauns - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
This type of challenge isn't permitted under the 2016 challenge cache guidelines. From the Help Center article, under the "Not Acceptable" column: "Specifying any element of a cache listing (type, rating, etc.) or find count (above one per day) required during a streak." EDIT: So sorry, I missed that this was a grandfathered cache.by The Leprechauns - ARCHIVE Checker requests (impossible)
That's correct. The stated challenge is "time limited" and not permitted. (USA reviewer speaking here)by The Leprechauns - ARCHIVE Checker requests (impossible)
Sure! The guidance is grounded in numbered articles 4 and 5 of the Help Center's Challenge Cache guidance.by The Leprechauns - ARCHIVE Checker requests (impossible)
Please note, the Community Volunteer Reviewers are instructed not to publish anything beyond a "single" Jasmer Challenge -- no "Double Jasmer," "Triple Jasmer," etc.by The Leprechauns - ARCHIVE Checker requests (impossible)

Under the 2016 Challenge Guidelines, user-defined geographic areas are not an acceptable basis for a challenge cache. See Section 10, "Source of Criteria." Not acceptable: "Challenges based on geographic areas other than countries, states/provinces, counties (or their local equivalent). For example, user-defined mapping polygons, latitude/longitude, radius, etc."by The Leprechauns - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Sorry, I should have mentioned in my prior post that I am a Community Volunteer Reviewer. I was looking at the written guidance given by Geocaching HQ to reviewers when I made my statement that badge-based challenges (and challenge checkers) are unacceptable. It is very clearly in the "no" column. I have followed up with your reviewer.by The Leprechauns - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
The challenge cannot be based on earning a "badge" at Project-GC, BadgeGen, etc. It's fine to base a challenge on the underlying requirement for a badge level. So, "Find 180 virtual caches" is OK, but the equivalent "Earn the Diamond badge for virtual caches" is not. This is because the challenge criteria must be based directly on statistics made available onby The Leprechauns - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
New 360 degree challenges can't be published. Challenge caches based on a geographic area can only use countries, provinces/states, and counties (or their regional equivalents). The centerpoint of a 360 degree challenge (or a 180 degree, 90 degree or 45 degree challenge) is a user-defined geographic area.by The Leprechauns - ARCHIVE Checker requests (impossible)
Please see item 13 in the Help Center article on Challenge Caches. Acceptable: "Geocaches found before challenge was published can count towards the achievement of the challenge." Not acceptable: "Restrictions on date of finds used for the challenge are not permitted." If I found caches in 2015 or earlier that fulfilled the challenge requirements, I can log a find.by The Leprechauns - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
1. Go to your Checker's page here (linked above). 2. There are buttons on the right side of the screen. Click the bottom one that says "Link." 3. Follow the instructions in the pop-up box. Copy the HTML into your clipboard. 4. Go to your cache listing and place it in "edit" mode. 5. Paste the HTML from your clipboard into the desired location within your cacheby The Leprechauns - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
You can keep your disabled challenge cache listing until you are ready to submit it for review. You would only submit it after you've qualified for the challenge. That way, you don't need to create a new page later on and get a new challenge checker tag. Tip: Post a reviewer note on your cache listing explaining that it is a work in progress and will be submitted once you meet yby The Leprechauns - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
I agree. For me, and as a Reviewer, the request presents an issue under Challenge Guideline section 8, "Attainable." Acceptable: "Challenge Caches need to be attainable at any time." Not Acceptable: "Requiring caches to be found in earlier years, as it is not attainable by someone new to the game" and "Challenges specifically excluding any segment of cachby The Leprechauns - ARCHIVE Checker requests (impossible)
The Community Volunteer Reviewers really appreciate when you catch those details at the discussion and coding stage - it makes our jobs easier, and reduces cache owner frustration! You were a step ahead of me and that's no surprise. Thanks for your work.by The Leprechauns - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
For "Bingo" challenges and other challenge caches with multiple components, Reviewers are asked to make sure that each individual component is a valid challenge subject. I have one tweak for that list of point scores. Since a "streak challenge" cannot be longer than 365 days, the first item should say "Have a caching streak of greater than at least 365 days= 10 points&qby The Leprechauns - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Most location-based challenge caches go by the posted coordinates location. In addition, I don't think that the API used by Project-GC has access to the hidden waypoints which would disclose the actual locations of mystery caches, multicaches, Wherigo caches, etc.by The Leprechauns - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Because of the limited number of available caches for certain months in the year 2000, and the resulting limited number of geocachers in a given area who could qualify after significant travel, Geocaching HQ's written guidance to reviewers is that challenges beyond a traditional / "single" Jasmer should not be published.by The Leprechauns - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Please note, a Double Jasmer (or anything else above a regular Jasmer Challenge) is unlikely to be published.by The Leprechauns - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Is the new version at the same link first posted? I am still seeing repeated timeouts when I run the checker against my player account, The Leprechauns. I have found caches in 45 US states plus DC, and I qualify for the challenge with seven finds on "oldest caches" at the time when I found them. I have approximately 6500 overall finds. Please refer to the Challenge Cache guidelines, Item 10. Hi, I forgot to mention that I am a Community Volunteer Reviewer. (I use my player account here because I paid for a Project-GC membership in that name.) A challenge to find 17 out of 17 oldest caches would constitute an impermissible "specific list" -- and that is not a new challenge cache restriction, it's always been that way. A guidelines-compliant approach would be somethby The Leprechauns - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
You'll need to modify your challenge definition to avoid requiring people to find all of the caches on a specific list, and to relate to a publicly defined region, like a county, or within a radius from a defined point.by The Leprechauns - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
