If a cache gets transferred, the owner_id changes to whoever it was transferred to. So, it's possible that this would break a streak, where one previously existed. Which is kind of crappy if you passed the challenge, and then suddenly don't by no fault of your own, but there's no way in the checker to know that a cache was adopted. *Usually* they put "adopted by" in the &by bmuzzin - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Sigh - the OCD couldn't leave this one alone. (Although I hate using a logger who DNQ as example, sometimes having an example to verify is the best). The script it correct, nicole-chicago does not qualify. I'll show you exactly where their streak was broken, although again, I think it's because they were not aware that for some of their finds on May 18th actually had the same Cby bmuzzin - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Yes, as I said, the script reports that several people do not qualify who have logged the cache. It's possible that there is an error in the script, although it is also possible that, they think they qualified but did not. In this case the script does not think nicole-chicago has a 45 day streak with unique COs, regardless of the types. It could be that they are mistaken - for example, aby bmuzzin - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Okay, I've rewritten a big chunk and re-enabled it. The OG CO now passes the new script, as do many others that failed the previous script. There is a rare case, where it's possible that somebody passes the challenge, but the script reports a false-negative. Checking the unique-owner streak requirement is not particularly hard, but adding in the type restriction makes it very difficuby bmuzzin - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Hrmm... I had not checked the OG CO with the script, and it also says they don't qualify, and since they have a very explicit list, it's unlikely that they don't qualify. More likely that there's an error in the script somehow. So, I'll check that out and try to find the error, since it's a real test case... so, please hold.by bmuzzin - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Well, this is the oldest requested checker that required a new script to be written... and you've been waiting a long while! Here you go: https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GC2JT8X/73058 This script is particularly hard to test for validity, because it's hard to determine what a 'best' streak is, if the user doesn't pass. The script will return if a user finds a uniqueby bmuzzin - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Actually, the script *did* have a similar option! I just didn't RTFM, and didn't realize that it had to be an int instead of a bool, which is why it wasn't working. I also got hit by the 'archived' field being a string, not a number. I've made some further modifications to the script so that it only prints out archived caches in the list, if you actually found theby bmuzzin - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
I've tried to just change the exclude archived parameter, which I thought would do the trick, but that doesn't seem to be giving me any luck. I'll investigate, but it might take a few days. Also, it's odd that your reviewer would suggest that you should include finds on archived hides. Although you don't absolutely require archived hides to qualify for your challenge,by bmuzzin - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
I'm working on an uber-generic fizzy checker, and trying to use that checker script to solve this one... but it claims that you have only 8 event DTs, and thus, it can't find a solution. Are you meaning to lump in all event types into 'event' caches?by bmuzzin - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Okay, I'll leave it as implemented, so that multiple types in the same county do not count towards the total number of types. ie. You must 'assign' a type to a particular county. I've also limited it to the United States, and surprisingly to me, I still qualify. I should have found this one when I was in Chicago (but there are so many of the 7 challenges)! Here's the lby bmuzzin - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Good suggestion... The output now shows the extra country/type conditions... i.e: OK: (4 countries, 2 continents)North America: found 16 countries (pass) Europe: found 42 countries (pass) Asia: found 13 countries (pass) Oceania: found 8 countries (pass) Africa: found 5 countries (pass) But, you could specify 'type' count and/or country count for a continent, so that's why itby bmuzzin - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Any update from the CO?by bmuzzin - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Didn't know that either... the rules just keep a changing as we go with no notification from HQ :) Updated the checker to remove the cache to cache distance check.by bmuzzin - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Okay, I've completed the table, and with countries assigned to multiple continents, it matches exactly with your PGC stats (eg. for example, Russia in the PGC stats is assigned to both Europe and Asia). It is quite a bit more difficult to 'dynamically' assign the continents, for example, if you find a country in one, then use another multiple assignment for another. I'm goby bmuzzin - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Okay - thank you - I see the countries are (mostly) gotten from the ISO-3166 (https://www.iso.org/iso-3166-country-codes.html). It looks like there are some deviations from those in the data however (eg. usually the common name has any "the" discarded from the official country name). I'll just take that list, and make it so that you can match the name using a list. And then use theby bmuzzin - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
I added in my 'maximum distance between any caches in the set' checker into the multi-checker I extended, under the "maxdist" function. And, I've tagged this specific challenge here: https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GCA23WK/72849 Also I'm assuming with 'municipalities', you meant 'counties'... which means something else where I live, and woulby bmuzzin - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
I just used the pre-existing continent data in the script I modified, which seemed reasonable to me (and is this): local ContinentCountries = { ["Africa"] = {"Algeria","Angola","Benin","Botswana","Burkina Faso","Burundi","Cameroon","Cape Verde","Central African Republic","Chad","by bmuzzin - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Hrmm ... Yes, as I keep finding out reading is not my strong suit. But, I'm glad that you'll be able to use it anyhow. I think that the 12 DTS in one county countdown, would require a bit more work, and perhaps a completely new script, as it's more of a Same X *and* Y, different Z sort of arrangement. The current script only does Same X different Y checks.by bmuzzin - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Alrighty - you've been waiting a really long time! Hopefully you can still use these: https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GC9GD1K/72763 https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GC9J9BF/72764 I did this by making a slight modification to the SameX DifferentY script, which now allows for a 'Countdown' parameter, which reduces the required number by that much each time. I'm sure no script already exists for this one... and I could write one. But, before I do, and we have a repeat of last time... have you checked with a reviewer that this challenge isn't too difficult to understand for the morons out there, and/or considered a "bookkeeping exercise"? :) A reviewer here recently told me that new challenges requiring finds with "notby bmuzzin - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
I've fixed the tag comment... for some reason, country and continent keep getting reversed in my mind (but I think the actual tag was correct). I've modified it so the output only mentions countries/types if there is more than one type/country required per continent. This can be seen in the last condition, because you only require one country for each continent, but the other tests listby bmuzzin - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
I've re-re-re-extended the multi-test checker to support a continent/country/type check (it already had a bunch of country/continent definition data). Here's the link to the checker: https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GC9Q7T6/72727 I need to travel more apparently... I have 3 continents, but only 1/2/3 countries each. Apparently my strength is in programming, not reading! ;) Updated the script, to use the points system (as Hügh suggested), and now it uses a lot less config space. It now checks both that you have 12 points, AND that you have found at least one of the 7/8 types. "Liz and Bruce" now DNQ, but you still do. https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GCA1WC6/72713 Please re-check, verify aby bmuzzin - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Updated and tagged (and wow, the config *JUST* fit, with all the whitespace removed! :)) https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GCA1WC6/72711 Please test, verify and respond. Also - just to confirm, the checker says you qualify, but disagrees slightly with your posted qualifiers above. It says you've actually found 2 LBs (instead of 0), 3 ECs (instead of 1), and 3 virtuals (instead of 2).by bmuzzin - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
I can change the `oldest` function with additional options to make it so you must find exactly the Nth oldest cache in the list. I guess I'll also change the 'topfav' at the same time. And then we can use `at_least`. Not sure if all those conditions are going to be able to fit into the config field though... I guess I'll find out. I'll try to do these changes later today.by bmuzzin - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)

I have extended the multi-test checker script to be able to perform top favorites tests. I've tagged this specific one as two separate tests, one that requires 10/10 of the top favorites, and 20/25 of the top favorites (all in Germany). You can find the checker here: https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GCA1P87/72559 Note, because it's a conjunctive test, the output is somewhat duplicaby bmuzzin - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
I've written a challenge checker for this challenge, which matches the specific criteria (eg. at least N counts of M words), instead of just listing all caches that pass the word check. However, there is some ambiguity in the cache description. Is this a 'whole word' search for the color, or do partial word matches count? For example you may want plurals to count (eg. Hi there - I've created a one-off script that checks this, as there was no script available that could be tagged to check it: https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GC3EWW5/72350 It verifies that the last 10 finders do qualify, and somebody who does not qualify (me) doesn't. Note that, I strip any leading whitespace when determining the first letter of the cache name. Otherwise, therby bmuzzin - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
I've written a one-off script for this challenge, however, before I enable it, there is some ambiguity to be resolved: 1. Is this challenge limited to the US states only? If (for example) 1 US states and 1 Canadian province used, does that count as a qualifier? 2. Are you allowed to use different cache types from the same county? For example, finding 7 cache types in a single county, andby bmuzzin - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
