Hi there - I just published a new challenge last night. The checker https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GC9VW4D/70496 is timing out for just one particular cacher (so far). The timer counts all the way down to zero and then crashes with no real error data. Queueing for slot, paying members are prioritized. Current position in queue: 0 Running checker, this might take up to 60 seconds. Coby sapien - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Well, that probably explains why then. Thanks. :-) I suspect most people will qualify using the row/column criteria anyways. I just wanted to verify that the diagonal criterion is working and grab a screen shot for the description if possible. But as long as you've tested it, I'm happy and I think this checker is good to go then. It seems to be working great with the row/column froby sapien - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Thank you thank you thank you. I've tested it as much as I can and it appears to be working great. I don't know how you made it work from the back end but from a UI/front end POV, the output looks great with all the testing I've done so far (I maxxed out my 10 checker runs a day limit so I can't do any more testing till tomorrow now). I haven't been able to find aby sapien - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Hi there waterfan5. The output looks great. Thank you for putting that together. I'm torn now. I'm not sure what to do. I could change the challenge to remove the overlap requirement but I wanted the cross output/requirement because it fits with my other attributes D/T Bingo challenge, plus we have a couple of other local "cross" themed challenges in my area as well. Hi there - I thought I'd follow up and see if there are any updates to my request for this checker. I also forgot to mention both local reviewers have approved this challenge already if that's a concern. Thanks.by sapien - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Hi there - I'm looking to create a challenge that merges GC9P0GZ Attributes D/T Bingo Challenge Olio #17 with GC9KZ1Y VICS: A Bingo Challenge! cache. GC9KZ1Y wants 1 row, or 1 column, or 1 diagonal of the D/T grid filled in with different cache types. My idea for this challenge is to fill 1 row AND 1 column of the D/T grid with different cache types, much like what GC9P0GZ wants with tby sapien - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
No worries. As far as I can see, everything looks good now and this checker is good to go. I probably already wore it out with the number of times I've ran it. ;-) LOL Please close this request Thank you! Thank you to everyone who helped along the way.by sapien - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Much better! Thank you for offering yourselves and other 'test' users so I can verify the output. It looks like the issues have been fixed. I see now that the "1 combos" part of the headers have disappeared so there's no more concern there. :-) And the output (pass or fail) shows all the attributes D/T grids no matter what now. That's even better for me now sincby sapien - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Hi there - I've tested it and it's looking good. I really like how the output highlights the row/column or diagonals used to pass the challenge. So far I've only been able to test against cachers who seem to pass the checker using the row/column method though. That part seems to be working great. :-) However I can't tell if the diagonal part of the checker is working sinby sapien - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Hi there, I'm trying to get a better understanding of how one of my challenge checkers works. https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GC8ZV2Q/57130 A cacher believes they've completed the challenge (verified manually by them) but the checker says otherwise. They suspect it's because one event is being used for the wrong "category". ie. An event attended on May 28th is bby sapien - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Thanks for replying, Pleu. As far as I know, I don't know anyone with 'tagging' rights but of course I don't even know what that means either. :-/ The local challenge cache "scene" here is limited right now (but growing) so some of your other suggestions aren't viable at this time but they may be in the future. I guess I'll have to be on the lookoutby sapien - Miscellaneous
I don't know where else to post this question but I just wondering if there was a way to request checkers anonymously or hide them from "being public". Another cacher and I were having a discussion about whether there was any way to keep challenges a secret until the caches are published on GC.com. We've seen cachers out there who scope out new challenges before they are pubby sapien - Miscellaneous
Thanks for the update. Please let me know if there is anything I can do to help. I can provide you with other Fizzy attribute challenges that I've found out there which could perhaps be used as a starting point for this checker or similar challenges with output that I like the look of, too. Or I could also document my version of the pseudo-code / logic / process that I use to figure out hby sapien - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)

Hi there, I was wondering if I could get a checker built for GC9P0GZ. If you think of the D/T grid as a 9x9 bingo card, the challenge is to "fill in" or complete one row and one column or both diagonals all with the same cache attribute. I've already reviewed the idea for this challenge with my local reviewer and it has been approved. I'm just hoping a checker can be builby sapien - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
My apologies. I didn't realize this request hasn't been closed. Testing is completed and I've actually published the challenge already so all is good. Please close this request as completed. Thank you again! And sorry for not providing timely feedback back to you. :-(by sapien - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Please close this checker request. It'll take a couple of days for it to show up on Project-GC after I log them but I have found 2 more caches with the hunting attribute now so then I'll be able to meet both "sides" of this challenge before it's published. I agree too; I really wish all these rules were documented somewhere 'officially' too. I know I'by sapien - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Thanks for the checker and info, sumbloke. Good to know. I'm curious though; is that a fairly recent challenge requirement/change (ie. within the last few days?), and by GC.com/GS or Project-GC? I can't seem to find anything about that on the GC.com website documentation and before I requested the checker be built, I pre-submitted my challenge idea to my local reviewers (I do this evby sapien - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Hi there - could I please get a checker created for GC9MHDJ that looks for 2 different "vice versa either or" qualifications? Basically to qualify for the challenge, you need to have found enough caches that have either - 20 "hunting area" and 22 "may require cross country skis" attributes, or - its vice versa: 20 "may require cross country skis" and 2by sapien - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)

Thank you for the reply and I'll await further updates then. If it helps, I'm only really concerned about updating this challenge checker right now - https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GC9JYR0/64676. Is the problem that the code/logic/programming for this particular checker is used by multiple other challenges and therefore modifying it could impact many other checkers as well?by sapien - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
YES! Thank you THANK YOU! Mystery solved. I believe I've found the cache in question now thanks to that new checker. It appears there was one cache which the cacher logged twice so as a result, the https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GC8ZME1/59054 checker works as designed and only used that cache for the first date it was found (which was not the Dec10th). The problem I have now is I aby sapien - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Hi there, I'm not sure if this is the right forum to post this question so please feel free to move it to correct one if necessary. I have multiple challenges including two that have similar checker output. A cacher has told me they are getting different results when they run the two checkers and we can't figure out why there is a difference. Testing has been completed successfully. Please feel free to close this request as resolved now. Thank you for all your help.by sapien - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
My initial request was to exclude Feb 29th from being mandatory for both calendars but that's because I assumed Feb 29th is not allowed in any challenges. I thought that only "true" 365 days challenges were allowed according to the new rules but I've learned something interesting since then. According to the official challenge rules listed on GC.com, it says only finds on Feby sapien - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Thank you for making the adjustments. :-) I've tested and it looks like it's working much better now. I miss the months on the side but I can live with it. I'm happy with the look of the grids otherwise. :-) Is it possible to add the word 'Calendar' to the title of the 2nd grid or remove it from the first so that it's consistent? Could you also please confirmby sapien - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
This feels sort of like a eyeglasses test. ;-) Yes, the 2nd checker is better than the first. :-) The headers/titles help explain what each grid is for. So is there no way to reuse this checker and/or its output then? https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GC8ZME1/59054 It does have the months listed in the first column and I was thinking all you have to do is adjust it to search for 365 days iby sapien - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Thanks for the fast turnaround but I'm not getting the results I expected from the checker. Something's off but I'm not sure what it is. Does the checker filter for just traditional type of caches? Also is it possible for the output to have the names of the months in the first column of the table, instead of just numbers? Thanks.by sapien - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Hi again - could I get a checker built for a challenge based on 2 completed calendar grids filled in with only traditional caches (found date and hidden date)? In other words, to qualify for this challenge, a cacher needs to find at least one traditional cache on all 365 days of the year. And the cacher also needs to have another month-day calendar grid completed filled in only by the hiddenby sapien - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
