Re: Challenge checker pyramid

Hi all,

I am planning to make a couple of caches where there is one requirement for logging:
The cacher should have found a pyramid of 10, 11, 12, 13, 14 and 15:
At least 1 day with 1 exactly cache
at least 2 days with exactly 2 caches
at least 3 days with exactly 3 caches
at least 4 days with exactly 4 caches
at least 5 days with exactly 5 caches
at least 6 days with exactly 6 caches
at least 7 days with exactly 7 caches
at least 8 days with exactly 8 caches
at least 9 days with exactly 9 caches
at least 10 days with exactly 10 caches
etc.

It looks a bit like the checkers of GC5JFZG, GC5JFZK, GC5JFZM, but for those caches the request is f.e. at least 5 days with at least 5 caches instead of exactly 5 caches.
In GSAK there is a macro Pyramid which works as required, but there you have to enter the number of levels (https://gsak.net/board/index.php?s=29ba7ade17e76202c05cb916c92627cf&showtopic=20053&st=0&#entry143722)

The caches will be:
GC8CRPR - pyramid of 10
GC8CRPT - pyramid of 11
GC8CRPV - pyramid of 12
GC8CRQ0 - pyramid of 13
GC8CRPW - pyramid of 14
GC8CRPX - pyramid of 15

Unfortunately challenges like these are against rule 9 of the challenge cache guidelines:

Time-Limited: Not Acceptable: Time-limited caching: as in some number of finds per day, week, month, or year. Example, Busy Day, 50 finds in a day, 500 finds in a month, etc.

Thanks, I didn't think this as time-limited, because you can fulfill this challenge in an unlimited time.
Has this changed since f.e. GC5JFZG?

Yes, previously there were no limits to anything, which led to people coming up with almost impossible challenges. Sadly it also placed restrictions on challenges that in my opinion could still easily be done. Even though no new challenges like these may be created I'm actually working on my own pyramid 20, just because I can.
