Re: GC6V1QW far away challenge

I'm new in the world of Challenge caches, but after read the FAQ I ask for my checker :)

I want a checker for this cache: GC6V1QW, and the challenge is about find a cache at least 10.101 km away of your home.

can you make it?

No, the checker system does not have access to your home coordinates. From the READ FIRST post:

What a checker can not do
* The checkers does not have access to the user's home coordinates. Challenges are not allowed to be based upon them either, and haven't been allowed to for several years. This is a matter of integrity.

Hese is a checker for this challenge http://project-gc.com/Challenges/GC6V1QW/22949

The checker only works for cachers that have logged in on project-gc.com and have set homecoordinates. Else the checker will result in "Failed to execute script" error. The data id from the Profile stats badges and there distance will only be updated when the stats are generated

I ran this checker and got the message that I did not qualify which is false.

It gave me this output "My furthest cache is only 7021 km fom home and it had to be more then 10101 km."

Missing the decimal point.

In our area, Ontario, I don't think our reviewers would allow this challenge as it depends on cachers being logged into projectgc and the information is not available by checker from geocaching.com. I would be interested if it is allowed as I wanted to do a distance checker but can't because of the privacy issue on geocaching.com

This checker is based on the badge information which states that you have 7021km (2979 (82%) to go to 10000km)

Ok cool. The original post said 10.101 km away of your home, not 10000.

That was just a copy of your badge detail

The OP appears to be Spanish, so would be using . as a thousands separator rather than a decimal.

My furthest cache is 10176 km from home and it had to be more then 10101 km.

Geocaching HQ send me a message than this kind of challenge is not aceptavle... sorry.. was a good challenge :(
