[Resolved] New checkers required please.

[Resolved] New checkers required please.

I'd like to set a few challenges based on countries and types but with a twist.
For example Challenge 3 types in 3 countries but with the Twist that all three types must be the same. i.e. A Trad Multi and Mystery in 2 countries but a Trad Webcam and Wherigo in the 3rd wouldn't qualify. If it can be done I'll create the caches and request the checkers.
Many thanks.
Titus

We did something similar to this for GC75DQZ which wanted something close except compared to Norway IIRC.

We could do this but expect it to be marked new script required immediately and have some delay until a script writer gets some free time.

No, GC75DQZ was about finding a number of types in both Netherlands and another country (but it didn't have to be the same other country).

I interpret this request as wanting a 3x3 grid of country and type, where the same three types are found in the same three countries. I'm not aware of any script to do this, but it is theoretically possible.

All that makes sense - I thought it might require a new script, which I'd be happy to wait for. I'll set up the caches and formally request the checkers .

I particularly like the grid idea, especially if it could show where ones might be needed in the case of unfulfilled ones.

Thanks

OK We're good to go now. Please may I have a Checker for the following 4 challenge caches with a twist.

GC76JCG - The Challenge is to find 3 types in 3 countries, The Twist is that all 3 types must be the same. The Tagline should read Find 3 Types in 3 Countries, but all types must be the same.

GC76JED - The Challenge is to find 4 types in 4 countries, The Twist is that all 4 types must be the same. The Tagline should read Find 4 Types in 4 Countries, but all types must be the same.

GC76JEG - The Challenge is to find 5 types in 5 countries, The Twist is that all 5 types must be the same. The Tagline should read Find 5 Types in 5 Countries, but all types must be the same.

GC76JEN - The Challenge is to find 6 types in 6 countries, The Twist is that all 6 types must be the same. The Tagline should read Find 6 Types in 6 Countries, but all types must be the same.

I don't think I qualify for the last one yet but in any event I won't publish them until I do.

Many thanks in advance.

Titus

Brilliant - thank you. I do hope you can incorporate a grid showing any missing ones too; that would be awesome. Really appreciate anything you can do though jpavlik.

the work is done
I'm sorry, you have not fulfilled the 6x6 challenge yet, you can complete it with i.e. 1 multi in Spain and 1 letterbox in Germany or in many other ways. See the table.
It was i bit hard work. I've modified my existing checker adding about 100 lines of code to the checker that had about 500 lines.
Please try it.
These are the blocks to be added to respective listings:

Just as a heads up, the link button seems to be leaving off the http: in the links and the images above. You will need to edit before pasting them in.

I think, but I've not try it, that omitting the http or https the link works and maintains the protocol of parent page. So if it is open as https, link works as https. Otherwise when you open the page with http, the link opens the target with http. But I repeat - I've not try it if it really works.

At first I thought it was a mistake. It turns out to be a protocol relative URL. These are not new technology. A google search turns up several opinions on them.

Apparently they are pretty well supported. I wonder what happens if someone embeds the link in an ftp served page. (Are there any of those left?)

I withdraw my concern.

Wow - You've done great job there! I particularly like the way the grid displays the qualifying caches. I wonder whether you could just retag them as per my initial request though.
i.e. Find 3 Types in 3 Countries, but all types must be the same.
