Re: Checker Request - GC6MC93

[Resolved] Checker Request - GC6MC93
June 25, 2016 08:27PM
We would like to place a challenge requiring a cacher to find 2 caches of the same type that are 6250 miles apart AND to do so for 5 different cache types. The cache page we have together is GC6MC93 (Spanning the Globe for Variety Challenge).

We have manually checked and we have done this for 7 cache types. So we do qualify for this challenge.
We have tried to search for an existing checker but have not seen one.

Does this sound like a feasible checker to create?

It's definitely feasible, but I'm not aware of any script which can do it already so it will require a new script to be written (or SeekerSupreme's "Pair of caches X distance apart" script to be adjusted)

So do I have to do something more or is the checker being created?

The topic is marked as a new script required.
I'm afraid that you have to wait till a volunteer script writer has the time to create a new script.
The holiday season is not the best time for this.

Thank you.

I tried it on a number of cachers and I believe it is working correctly.

great
so, enjoy it

I like this challenge, I'm thinking to make a similar one but with smaller span.
I've made 6 couples of types spanned for more than 1000km, so I can do something similar.
