[Resolved] Need checker for Henry W. Coe Altitude Challenge - GC7M0J3
March 24, 2018 09:41PM
Hi! I’d like to do a challenge based the altitude associated with the numerical value of the letters in “Henry W. Coe” State Park. The qualifying finds can be anywhere in California, any type, size, or D/T. COs cannot use their own hides. Is this possible?

H = 8 caches at 800-899 feet

E = 5 caches at 500-599 feet

N = 14 caches at 1400-1499 feet

R = 18 caches at 1800-1899 feet

Y = 25 caches at 2500-2599 feet

W = 23 caches at 2300-2399 feet

C = 3 caches at 300-399 feet

O = 15 caches at 1500-1599 feet

E = 5 caches at 500-599 feet (total of 10)

Thanks!
Julie/Ullii

Here is the link to the checker https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GC7M0J3/33784

Please test and confirm

Thank you! It looks great. Is it possible to add what the requirements are for people who don’t pass yet? Something like:

H = caches at 800-899 feet : 4 (need 8)

And just to confirm, this is in California only, right?

Thanks!
Julie

Thanks! Those changes are perfect. I have just one more clarification, around the two “E” values. There are two, so user needs a total of 10 finds. How is that reflected? In this output, for example, does the user have only 3 and they’re double counted? Or 6 and they’re split between the two? Can this be clarified somehow?

H = 8 caches needed in California at 800-899 feet; Result : 4
E = 5 caches needed in California at 500-599 feet; Result : 3
N = 14 caches needed in California at 1400-1499 feet; Result : 4
R = 18 caches needed in California at 1800-1899 feet; Result : 3
Y = 25 caches needed in California at 2500-2599 feet; Result : 0
W = 23 caches needed in California at 2300-2399 feet; Result : 0
C = 3 caches needed in California at 300-399 feet; Result : 6
O = 15 caches needed in California at 1500-1599 feet; Result : 1
E = 5 caches needed in California at 500-599 feet; Result : 3
sorry, you have not fulfilled this challenge GC7M0J3 yet

Thanks for your help!

Can I suggest that the second E has a value of 2 x 5 because I can not split the finds

That will be perfect, thanks!

Hi! Just checking in on this. Is it possible to combine the two E's as you suggested?
Thanks,
Julie

Is already done. The first E I left as 5 caches and the second E as 2 x 5 == 10 caches

Oh, my apologies. I didn't realize that. I just ran it again and it's perfect, thank you! I'll take it. :)

Thanks for your help,
Julie
