Dear programmers!

Please help me! I need a checker for a new challenge cache, which checks the following conditions:

- 1000 regulars
- 1000 mysteries
- 1000 multis
- 1000 caches found in one year
- 1000 caches found in one county (or district-free city)
- 1000 caches found in two countries, states or provinces
- 1000 caches with the same difficulty and terrain
- 1000 caches, which were hidden in the same year
- 1000 caches, which were hidden before 2010
- 1000 caches with a positive attribute
- 1000 caches with a negative attribute
- 1000 caches found at one weekday

Have a nice day!

I fear that there is a problem

Quote

5. Standard for Criteria
The challenge requirements should be simple, and easy to explain, follow and document. A long list of rules or restrictions may prevent publication.

This list is extraordinaly long and I suggest you to consult with your local reviewer will they publish this kind of challenge at all.

I asked the reviewer.
Does the maximum length of the list depend on the cache location or is there a reliable rule?
I think the list is rather short.
Compare it to https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liste_besonderer_Zahlen
How many items can there be on the list?

Reviewer here. "1000 caches found in one year" is not allowed - it is "time limited caching" under the challenge cache guidelines.

For "1000 caches found at one weekday," do you mean cumulatively over time, and do you mean to exclude Saturdays and Sundays? As in, I find 1 or 2 caches every other Monday for several years until I get to 1000 caches found on Mondays? That would be OK. 1000 caches found in a single day would not be allowed.

Are there ten or so geocachers in your local area who meet all these tests, or are close to doing so?

There is no hard and fast rule about how many requirements a challenge cache can have. The "long list of rules or restrictions" gets at the complexity in explaining the requirements as well as the absolute number of requirements. Three requirements can be too many, if they each take a paragraph to explain.

Oh, I missed this new rule after I found https://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC5GZJ7_1111-cache-in-einem-jahr-challenge.
I deleted this item from the list. Is it short enough now?

"Wochentag" means one day in monday to sunday.
The number of finds for each day of the week are shown in the statistic in project-gc.com.
The number is cumulative over the years.

The hardest items on the list are 1000 regulars, 1000 multis, 1000 hidden in one year,
which I completed this year. As there regional cachers with 2000 multis, I guess there are some,
who met all criteria.

All numbers can be looked up in the statistic in project-gc.com, except the finds before 2010, where you have to add some numbers shown there. It's very simple.

Hallo!

The local reviewer and I have agreed upon the following list:

> - 1000 regulars
> - 1000 mysteries
> - 1000 multis
> - 1000 caches, which were hidden in the same year
> - 1000 caches, which were hidden before 2010

Who can help me by providing a checker?

Have a nice day!

Here is the checker

https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GC81E95/38984

Please test and tell us whether it is suitable for you.

Hallo!

The checker is very nice.

Could you add the output of the number of finds of the year with the highest number of finds
in the case the cacher fails in the criteria
"1000 caches, which were hidden in the same year"?

Have a nice day!

Displaying number of caches is not possible with this script because it stops counting when there is 1000 required caches published at a one year. If the year is chosen then it could display total caches at that year, but now it counts required number or years to qualify. Maybe some another script could display also the total number of caches per year.
