Re: Change checker on a new unpublished cache

I recently created a Busy Day Challenge (GC9BKZW) not realizing there was another one of this type in my area. The local volunteer reviewer stated that there can't be two of the same type of Challenges in close proximity to each other. I Cloned another Challenge and created a Checker to go with this cache.

Thus, I've totally had to redo the Challenge cache without archiving it. I can't create a new Checker as I get the following message..."Error GC-Code already seems to be tagged with a checker". Can a new Checker be created because this is now a totally different Challenge?

I disabled your cloned checker. The main reason for not accepting the challenge was that challenge criteria are not allowed in the hiding guidelines.

Please read 2.12.9. Time-Limited

If you want to have a new checker for GC9BKZW you can not make a clone .

In this forum we have to create the checker for you by giving us the challenge criteria

Here is the criteria for A Specific Attributes Challenge (GC9BKZW)



Requirements for this Challenge:

Find and log 25 caches, one for each of the attributes shown above.
Each cache logged for the challenge must use one of the attributes shown above.
Only one attribute per cache logged may be used.
Your own caches DO NOT qualify.
Past finds and now-archived caches DO count.
Premium Members can use the Pocket Query feature to search for caches with particular attributes.
If your stats are public, the challenge checker below will verify you qualify.

Unfortunately, I made the same mistake on another Challenge cache GC9BJXM. There was one very similar in my area and the local volunteer review wouldn't publish it as well and asked me to re-work it which I've done. Here is the new criteria for that one which needs a new Checker as well...

A Boat Challenge - 50 Boat Attributes

Challenge Requirements:

Find at least 50 caches with the boat attribute.
All cache finds past and present are allowed including archived caches.
You can visit the final cache location at any time to sign the log but you may not log a “found it” on geocaching.com until you have fulfilled the challenge requirements.

I will be more diligent in placing Challenge caches in the future and make sure what I put out there is new to my area.

Yesterday, May 22 I asked for two new Checkers from Project-gc for two unpublished Challenge caches I had created.

The first one was A Specific Attributes Challenge (GC9BKZW) and a checker was created:

Later in the day I asked for a Challenge checker for "A Boat Challenge - 50 Attributes" (GC9BJXM)and a checker was created.

I didn't see the mistake until the local volunteer reviewer brought it to my attention today. Both caches have the same GC#.
A Specific Attributes Challenge has the right GC # and code but when you open the checker, it's for the Boat Challenge.

The Boat Challenge - 50 Attributes checker works fine but has the wrong GC #.

Anyway I can fix this?

A Specific Attributes Challenge (GC9BKZW) is still not working with the right checker.

When you sent me the link "https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GC9BKZW/60950";, it worked great for my
"Find and log 25 caches, one for each of the attributes shown above" as you can see in a previous post.
Now the Tag is disabled and doesn't work for the 25 specific attributes cache. A different checker comes up
as well. I think this problem was created when the same GC9GKZW was used for both Challenges listed above.
I wrote up the Boat Challenge first before the other one. Hope this makes sense to you what is happening here.

Any idea how to get the 25 specific attribute Challenge checker back the way it was originally?

Sorry for all the trouble this has caused as well. Also, I've deleted the current Checker off the GC9BKZW cache page.
