Different caches are worth different amounts of money and to log this cache you must have found at least $100,000.


Your wages are based on what cache types you've found and you can only log a find for "Because You're Worth It" if you are worth £100,000 or more!

So how do you know how much you've earned? Below is a list showing all the cache types, past and present.

Cache types are roughly valued on rarity or difficulty, so a Wherigo cache, for example, will pay more than aTraditional as they're harder to come by. Here is what each cache type is worth:


$100 per Traditional Cache
$200 per Multi-Cache
$400 per Virtual Cache
$500 per Letterbox Hybrid
$300 per [standard] Event Cache (do not include other event types under this heading)
$400 per CITO Event
£500 per Mega-Event
$700 per 10 Years! Lost & Found Event
$1000 for the Groundspeak Lost & Found Celebration
$1000 per Groundspeak Block Party
$300 per Mystery / Unknown / Puzzle / Challenge Cache
$900 for the Groundspeak HQ
$900 per Project A.P.E. Cache
$600 per Webcam Cache
$500 per Locationless (Reverse) Cache
$400 per Earthcache
$800 per GPS Adventures Exhibit
$600 per Wherigo Cache
$700 per Lab Cache
$1000 per Giga Event

There are however only 18 types used:
Lab.Caches do not count in challenges and there is only 1 Lost and Found Event type which makes a total of 18 types not 20

Please confirm if this is what you require

Sorry I should have been in touch. Been having some interesting discussion with my reviewer who only got back to me late April and no longer accepted us publishing it under our Mega name and I've had to tweak my theme so it is not considered a proxy placement....
Challenge is still the same, however it is now under GC76ADV.

I am not having luck with my reviewer they have sent me this message. I have objected to them as I understood spelling was not allowed as rules do not allow anything based on name but not type.... if anyone can help me provide additional evidence (similar caches published since rule change) to get this past the reviewer I would be grateful.

Hi Natalie,

I am declining publication on this challenge cache.

In essence, it is no different from a spelling type challenge, which is no longer allowed under the current guidelines.
