My new challenge will be: https://coord.info/GC8M7TJ It will be submitted published after the project-gc BadgeGen is out of Betaby DrPflug - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Thank You. All Good with the change!by DrPflug - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Can the Checker be tweaked to NOT require the current month. For example, cacher Clubmud! currently fails. He has found a cache hidden in every previous month but not the current month (currently March 2020). Can this change be made?by DrPflug - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Perfect, thank you. Please substitute this one. and the current number of 53 is the correct requirement.by DrPflug - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Perfect. thanks.by DrPflug - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Right now the checker for this is giving the person credit for multiple finds of a single cache if they found it multiple times It should only count a cache once. The big Culprit is the Rock That Rolls. It was a moving cache and was found many times by the same person. (I found it 11 times). There also might have been some mistaken double logs on the others as that occasionally happendby DrPflug - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
I think there are two checkers for this one, at least that's what the project-gc greasemonkey script is showing me on the right side of the web page. https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GC3MH9W/1898 and https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GC3MH9W/38827 for user ddvdude, the first checker says he fails. Because it's not ignoring non-alphanumerics like it should. the second checkby DrPflug - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
OK, close this request. Reviewer said the Challenge would be good minus the two badges I had requiring home coordinates to be set. I will resubmit this Challenge Checker request after the new BadgeGen badges exit BETA stage and are final.by DrPflug - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
So (after the BETA period is over) would this be good if I remove the Long-Distance Cacher requirement and also not add the All Around Cacher requirement (which is also based on home location)? If you say yes, it's good, I will get my own reviewers opinion. He published my last similar challenge so I'd want to make sure he didn't change his mind. No sense having y'all worby DrPflug - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Is that the only issue or are there more?(besides the beta part). I can see my distance from home right in the the geocaching.com Statistics page in the My Home Location Statistics. So it's available and apparently the checker from my previous similar challenge had no problem retrieving it or computing it. So I still don't understand why this is not acceptable. Should I get an opinby DrPflug - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
I understand the beta part. But we went through this whole discussion last time on my previous challenge. The Checker would not check badges (which are awarded from project-gc) - but would instead check the required levels using the information available via geocaching.com. What is different with this Challenge than with my previous challenge except that the checker needs to check for 9 newby DrPflug - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Need a checker for this one: GC8K59N. It's going to replace this Challenge GC8A0M8. The checker for this new challenge will operate just like the checker for the challenge that will be replaced, except the cacher will need 70 points to qualify. For this new Challenge, the Checker needs to account for 9 new BadgeGen badges (27-35) in the cache description listing. And also, the requiredby DrPflug - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Never mind then, you can just close this.by DrPflug - ARCHIVE Checker requests (impossible)
But the checker is clearly wrong. Feb 2013 only has 28 days. TresHntrs has 28 finds that month. I don't understand why that can't be fixed. Feb should be 29 only in leap years. But only 28 in non-leap years.by DrPflug - ARCHIVE Checker requests (impossible)
can it be set to 28 then. Feb only has 28 days (except in leap years). and the year this person found 28 in February was not a leap year.by DrPflug - ARCHIVE Checker requests (impossible)
Checker for Month of Multis Challenge - https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GC4108P/23568 The checker result says TresHntrs does not qualify. But cacher TresHntrs does with 28 finds of multi's in Feb 2013. The checker output even lists those 28, but then says he does not qualify. Can that be fixed?by DrPflug - ARCHIVE Checker requests (impossible)
Yes, problem is resolved. Thanks. I'd love to know why the elevation of that locationless cache somewhere in Indiana is 18,000 feet below sea???? LOLby DrPflug - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Yes, they are excluded from Badgegen. Badgegen shows the lowest elevation found by 8Nuts Mothergoose as -2.by DrPflug - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
I think you are right. 8Nuts Mothergoose wrote this to me..... I have many Locationless (Backwards) caches found. I'll bet it's one of those listed near the North Pole or in some other ocean. The Badgegen page probably ignores Locationless, but the Checker looks at them. The Arctic Ocean is over 4000 meters deep.by DrPflug - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
There is a problem with the points awarded for the Head-In-The-Ground-Award for some users. It works fine for me, DrPflug. It reports 2 (it should actually display -2, can that be fixed?) and gives me bronze = 0 points. But user "8Nuts MotherGoose" also only has -2 but the checkers for these two challenges show 5465 Diamond = 4. Please check this.by DrPflug - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
This is perfect. thanks.by DrPflug - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
This challenge is identical to Challenge cache GC8A0M8 (BadgeGen Gemstone Sapphire Level Challenge) except that 78 points are required for this new challenge rather than 52 for the existing challenge. I don't quite qualify myself yet, but will shortly.by DrPflug - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Yes that works fine.by DrPflug - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
NOTE: I just submitted a request for a new checker, identical to this one that gives the error. It is "Checker Request for GC8CW6X (Physical Jasmer).by DrPflug - ARCHIVE Checker requests (impossible)
n order to log a find, you must find at least one "Physical" cache. (i.e., a cache with a physical container) in each month since geocaching began. So, you must have a "Jasmer" made up of caches that are ONLY of type Traditional, Mystery, Multi, Letterbox, Wherigo, Project APE, or Groundspeak HQ. Events or any kind, Virtuals, Earthcaches, and Webcam's DO NOT COUNT. Thiby DrPflug - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
that is very strange. I wonder why Groundspeak did that? and that begs the question, how to work around it.by DrPflug - ARCHIVE Checker requests (impossible)
so does this old challenge have a checker which uses unique polygons that define the city boundaries ( Not the county boundaries like all the new challenge checkers use ). I am surprised that that is the case, but if it is, I guess that's the way it is and you can close my request.by DrPflug - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
I am confused. This is an older challenge yes. But if it's not checking on the county that the state capital is in, then what is it checking ???by DrPflug - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
No changes. I bet all the other similar checkers are using a correct list. Perhaps one of them could be used here, with the threshold being 15 in this case.by DrPflug - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GC3QM3Z/25151 The checker results are not correct. For myself, it says I have 13 (even though the list identifies only 12). But I actually have 14 state capitals + DC (which doe count for this challenge). So my total should be 15. This challenge does not list the finds I have in Connecticut (Hartford Co), Pennsylvania (Dauphin Co) and Rhode Island (Proviby DrPflug - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
